Born to a Turkish family who didn’t like traveling that much, I always had to put an extra effort to see new places. Somehow, I managed to get out of my shell and travelled to the UK in high school. This was followed by 18 more countries in Europe and Asia. The wanderlust disease was spreading throughout my body with every new destination.
In July 2017, I found myself on a plane to Cape Town with a one-way ticket to pursue my dream job in cancer research. I am currently doing my Ph.D. in Computational Systems Biology at the University of Cape Town. In my spare time (believe me, I still have some of that!), I am doing my best to explore every inch of amazing South Africa. My plan is to explore the rest of entire Southern Africa in the next three years.
I have been working as a freelance writer on platforms such as Fiverr, providing travel content for other websites. Don't hesitate to contact if you want to work with me.
