On the 27th of April, King Willem-Alexander celebrates his birthday across the country with events such as public concerts, canal tours, and citywide flea markets. April comes with its beauty in Japan, as it is the sakura season. Fascination should be the word to describe the beauty of the country during this month. Kyoto is one of the most beautiful cities to visit this month. Despite the cold evenings, the weather tends to be warm in general. The cherries usually reach their peak during the first week of April.
In Kyoto, you should not miss Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) that typically takes place every year from early to mid-April. You can see the cherries in various locations such as Maruyama-Koen Park, the north end of the Kyoto Gosho (Imperial Palace Park), the banks of the Kamogawa River, Kyoto Botanical Gardens (Kyoto Shokubutsu-en), and Gion’s Shimbashi district in the evening.

Located on the island’s Atlantic coast, the capital and largest city of Puerto Rico has stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and a multitude of cultural and outdoor activities. The best time to visit the island is from mid-April to June. In San Juan, there is something for everybody to explore.
After the devastating Hurricane Maria in 2018, the city is ready for the tourists again. The famous Petronas Twin Towers is admittedly the most visited attraction of the city. Street market variety is quite impressive in Kuala Lumpur. The most popular street market is Petaling Street’s night market. Eating from the local markets is a must-do to try delicious dishes such as curry noodles, chicken rice, and popiah (Chinese fresh spring rolls). The Kampung Baru night market is a great spot for Malay goods like sarongs and songkok.

With its long coastline full of stunning beaches backed by high mountains, this largest of the Greek islands is one of the bests in the Mediterranean. April marks the beginning of the tourist season, so it is a good period to visit before it gets overcrowded.
Apart from its golden sand beaches, Crete hosts important Minoan archaeological sites, gorges, impressive towns with Venetian harbours and fortresses.
